Red Rocked
Marie and I went to see John Prine and Emmylou Harris last night at Red Rocks. The show was incredible - and, though I liked John Prine beforehand, I am now a ridiculous fan. What a performance. What a songwriter.
Here's a performance of "In Spite of Ourselves" with Iris DeMent. (He sang this last night with my all-time fave Emmylou.) This is one of his funnier tunes; ones like Sam Stone and Hello in There will make you cry. Which no one really wants on a Saturday morning. Regardless, I urge you to check this guy out if you haven't before. Wonderful stuff.
