What Did You Learn Today?
Matt asked me that last night when we were falling asleep.
I thought about it and said, more or less, "There are 15,000 town-run senior centers in the country. Senior citizens who are socially or physically isolated have higher incidences of heart disease, depression and high blood pressure. Crabs can live for a maximum of two weeks in a ship-hold. A standard oven is 30 inches wide. All propane tanks have the same size nozzle. Century Gothic is the font for me. Kerning is the space between letters; leading the space between lines (which I once knew but had to learn again). Walter hates Friskies sliced beef but will eat it under protest. Rosie O'Donnell had never heard the word 'sate' until Martha Stewart used it. Max's original name in Rebecca was Henry, but Daphne du Maurier thought it too plain. The narrator remains unnamed because du Maurier could never settle on one for her."
I like this game. Today, so far, I've just learned one thing: brownies taste better than Special K.
