Dreamy
Above is a photograph of artist Lisa Congdon's workspace from sfgirlbybay (bonus: The Congdon gives a shout-out to one of my favorite all-time books, In the Heart of the Sea...buy it! Read it! Love it!).
Is it wrong to feel like I'd be all creative and making money hand over feast if I had a workspace like that? If only! If only! Yeah...hmm. About once a week I catch myself sighing and moaning and wishing I could just devote a small area of my house to something all artsy or all writer-y or whatever I think would make me more productive, and then I realize I actually own the bitch and can do whatever I want. It's kind of defeating not to have the "But I rent!" excuse so handy for the last 15-odd years. So I eat another Zone bar and consider how to reorder my Netflix queue. Alas. But pictures like this - and the occasional modgepodge purchase - give me hope that one day I will decoupage the living CRAP out of my mortgage.

Just think of my moms craft room... that is what I want. A WHOLE room!

How DO you order your Netflix queue, perchance?
