The Falcon CAN Hear the Falconer

A few Valentine's Days back, my brother and I saw Kiki and Herb open for Rufus Wainwright at the Beacon Theater in good ole NYC. The whole show was one of (if not theeee) best things I've ever seen, and getting to watch these two perform - which is virtually impossible as tickets are snapped up the SECOND they go on sale, always - was spectacular and riotous and all other sorts of spectacular and riotous things. (The Rogets is clearly in storage.) Chances of them coming to Denver range somewhere in the "no shot in hell" zone, but I can take small comfort in their classic version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (complete with lyrics by Keats), which has been immortalized in this oddly compelling little vid. Give it a whirl, and if you're in DC in March of 2008, grab tickets to their stint at the Kreeger Theater. Do it. Do it. Done.
