Fall

Tonight, the Deuce and I took a nice, long walk in my beautiful neighborhood. There were a few dry leaves on the ground, little kids playing around, the smell of gas grills, and that certain edge in the air that says, "Yes. This is what you've been waiting for and here it is."

So it made me start thinking of fall, and all the words and things I associate with it. Let's see...

Maple syrup, muddy boots, burning piles, rough plaid coats, crusty bread and creamy soup, frost filigrees, thick ceramic mugs of coffee, wet grass, the smell of horses, extra blankets, cozy socks, pecan pie, slipping into suede, wood-burning stoves, hugs to stay warm, home.
