Real Estate Esta Muy Loco

Bear with me as my brain has been set to "Spasmatron" mode and I'm feeling a little geeked out.
I know, what's new? 'tevs.
So judgmental, you are.

Anys, the ojo in my mojo this afternoon comes from a phone conversation I just had with an associate of a guy in town who owns a bunch of commercial buildings (including the new Tattered Cover). Both of these fellas are big supporters of the arts and of downtown revitalization efforts and all that good stuff. Apparently, my buddy Paul over at P Design Gallery got in touch with them on my behalf and asked that they help me in the hunt for good retail space. And help me they are both willing and happy to do.

I'm a bit shellshocked and more than a little shellacked, and that's not just the gin talking. Charming bunches of nonsequiters aside, I don't really know what else to say other than how touched, flattered and utterly astounded I am at the kindness and generosity I'm privy to every day in this fine town.

That goes twice for you biznatchy at King Soopers who yelled at me because I didn't move out of the way fast enough.

She: "I know...it's a LOT to ask."
Me: [scoff] "Yeah. Have a GREAT holiday, lady."

[RETROSPECTIVE UPDATE: What I should have said --> "Martin Luther King, Jr. preached that he decided to stick with love because hate is too great a burden to bear...how. you. like. me. now. ugly. face.?!" <-- each word punctuated with girly slap.]

Ah, the spirit. It warms me.
Again, that's not just the gin talking.
Nor the sequiters.
