Magna Cum Audi
I've been waiting to bust that title out for a bit, and yesterday's 9-hour road trip through a few of the mountains and towns of this here corner state provides the perfect opportunity.
Jake and I took off from Denver at 2:30 and returned close to midnight. Along the way, there were stops for roadside jerky, roadside elk and roadside photos. As for sustenance on this mighty journey, beers and wine were enjoyed in Fairplay, Leadville and Vail. We also tucked into a succulent steak supper in downtown Buena Vista (or, as the locals call it, "Boona").
The car was Dreamy McDreamerpants, and easily hit 100 mph at about 7,000 feet. That turbo makes my head spin and the handling, lo the handling, is but a dream.
Good tunes, good snaps, good times. You know.
A perfect Sunday.
Here are a few of the sights - I'll jam the rest up on Flickr.
