Today, the rivers will run green with mucous ribbons of envy and vomit as all the world joins in celebration of the births of Michael Patrick (31) and Allison Jean (30). Though I can't be with either of you to add my two p. worth of mirth and Jameson's, please accept this gift on behalf of all western Massachusetts - the recipe to a 30,000-calorie sandwich.

Happy Birthday(s) to you both! How I wish I was there to follow up this sandwich supremacy with either the shamrock or the DT shakes (your choice). Instead, I will soberly sup on boiled cabbage by the peat fire while listening to old timers talk of "the troubles" and reflect pensively on the impact you've each had on my life.
And no, that's not a fat joke.
